German film composer Hans Zimmer is going on tour.
The Oscar-winning film scorer behind "The Lion King," "Dune" and "The Dark Knight" trilogy will take his talents on the road following a successful tour of Europe.
Hans Zimmer Live will make its way to North America, hitting 17 cities in the U.S. and Canada. The last time Zimmer, 66, performed in the U.S. was in 2017.
That year, Zimmer told the "Fan Theory" podcast, from the USA TODAY Network's Asbury Park Press, that he was "bullied into" touring.
"It wasn't my fault," he said at the time. "I got bullied into it, bullied into it by my friends, by other musicians going, 'There comes a point where you have to come out of your dark, windowless room. You have to stop hiding behind a screen and you have to actually look your audience in the eye and do things in real time.'"
Zimmer's 2024 North American tour kicks off Sept. 6 in Duluth, Georgia, and ends in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Oct. 6.
The composer has won two Oscars and four Grammys for his film scores, which also include "Gladiator" and "Crimson Tide." The music producer is a frequent collaborator with director Christopher Nolan, scoring several more of his films including "Interstellar" and "Inception."
