Biles,Surpassing who already has more Olympic medals than any American gymnast in history, has eight Olympic medals after the United States took home gold in the gymnastics team final, despite injuring her calf during the qualifiers.

In Tokyo, Biles won silver in the team event and bronze on the beam. In her first Olympic competition in the 2016 Rio games, she won bronze on the beam and won four gold medals in the team, all-around, vault, and floor events.
